10 Former X-Men Actors Perfect For The MCU

There's still plenty of room in the MCU for these former mutants.

Major MCU casting announcements always create a buzz but one of the most shocking was the recent report that Evan Peters would be featuring in the Disney+ series WandaVision.

While fans normally wouldn’t be surprised that an actor of his caliber has made it into Kevin Feige’s plans, the fact that Evan Peters played Quicksilver in Fox’s X-Men Universe just a few years ago makes this announcement quite intriguing.

Unlike Peter Dinklage who portrayed Bolivar Trask in X-Men: Days of Future Past before becoming Eitri in Infinity War, Peters was one of the standouts from the current run of X-Men films and his performance was generally lauded over that of Aaron Taylor Johnson’s in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Could Peters’ casting be a return to his X-Men character, tying both universes together? Possibly, but at this point, who knows which direction Marvel will go with the multiverse moving forward.

But if Feige and company are looking to steal some stars from the X-Men world, there are a few others who deserve the nod that Peters is getting, even if they're still synonymous with Marvel's mutants.

10. Kevin Bacon

After the unfavorable reactions to X-Men Origins: Wolverine, X-Men: First Class needed to knock their reboot out of the park. Would an X-Men Origins: Magneto have worked? Possibly, but the strong cast of First Class was able to give the X-Men franchise the mutation it needed to bring back fans.

Placing Kevin Bacon as the movie's antagonist was a great choice, especially pairing him opposite of Michael Fassbender.

Kevin Bacon is a highlight in nearly every movie he's cast in. His ability to play both the flawed hero and sinister villain makes him an excellent choice for an MCU rebirth. Bringing him in as a turncoat character not unlike Jeff Bridges' Obadiah Stane would give the New Avengers a cunning adversary.
