10 Former X-Men Actors Perfect For The MCU

With Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, and Nicholas Hoult all commanding screen time, it comes as no surprise that Xavier's supporting X-Men received limited time to shine. Thankfully, the talented Zoe Kravitz will get another go in The Batman, but her fellow recruit Edi Gathegi deserves another superhero spin as well.

With Beast being the only original X-Man featured in First Class, most could already assume walking into the theater that some of this "first class" may not stick around to become official X-Men. Essentially cannon fodder to show Sebastian Shaw's immense power, Gathegi met his end without getting an opportunity to use his powers in combat.

Thankfully, the MCU could give Gathegi an opportunity for poetic revenge by bringing his villainous nature from The Black List into the MCU as Deathlok. Although we've seen one version of the character in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., many individuals have taken up the Deathlok mantle in the comics, opening up an opportunity for Gathegi to bring him to the big screen.
