In a kind of role reversal to the Dormammu idea, Loki could take the role of master in a Doctor Strange movie with an Earth-based magical apprentice to do his bidding. The first human sorcerer foe that tends to spring to mind when you think of Doctor Strange is Baron Mordo and he would be an ideal villain for Strange's first Marvel Cinematic Universe live action outing. As magic starts to spread around the Earth, it could draw Loki's attention and, seeing his opportunity to conquer it again from afar, he could control or instruct Mordo remotely - in the same way he did with Erik Selvig in the Thor post-credits scene, for example - to do his bidding for him. It would be a relatively minor role for Loki, in the same way Thanos' role has been minor thus far, but it would give his fans the fix they need in the build to up to another potentially more substantial appearance on screen.
