10 Future Stars Who Appeared In Star Trek

2. Adam Scott

Long before he was Ben on Parks and Recreation, Adam Scott was almost responsible for flying the USS Defiant right into the side of a Borg Cube. Never has an officer scanned the Solar System for another starship coming in as hard as this young man. Thank God for the arrival of the Enterprise-E, or who knows what might have happened?

That is, of course, assuming he wasn't then assimilated by the Borg when they tried to take over the Enterprise. He wasn't actually seen again.

Despite this potentially grim fate, Scott would go on to star in the long-running comedy Parks and Rec opposite Amy Poehler and fellow Trek alum Jim O'Heir. He also starred in Big Little Lies with Reese Witherspoon. An avid sci-fi fan, he is a self-confessed Star Wars nut, and anyone looking for a slice of pure, wholesome joy simply needs to watch his appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel show, as Mark Hamill surprises him.

Seriously, have tissues ready.

As for his role in Trek, Scott has joked in interviews that he believes his character to be alive and well, waiting for the inevitable return, ready to pilot the Defiant again - though perhaps to somewhere a little less dangerous.
