Nathalie Emmanuel’s Missandei was a crucial part of Daenerys’ storyline, remaining fiercely loyal to her queen during her stint on the show.

There were many factors as to why Daenerys went mad; Jorah’s death, her lack of willing followers in Westeros, losing two of her dragons, Jon’s rightful claim to the throne... the list goes on if you look back at the life she’s led. Missandei’s death though was arguably the biggest factor, and it’s through the weight of Emmanuel’s performance that we can believe this.

Certainly, it was the core reason Grey Worm revelled in the bloodshed of King’s Landing. Compared to some of her fellow cast members, Emmanuel was more restricted by Missandei’s role as a prim and proper diplomat on the periphery.

Still, she built some amazing chemistry with Emilia Clarke and Jacob Anderson and would do well in a supporting MCU role.

With no Tony Stark, introducing Ironheart will be substantially harder. His cinematic battles will be missed though, so perhaps they can have Emmanuel’s character meet Pepper Potts/Rescue and then inherit the title.

Making her a tech whiz who greatly admired Tony would explain tribute to him too.

Failing that, having Shuri become Iron Heart sounds equally awesome.
