10 Game Of Thrones Actors Who Could Star In The MCU (And Who They’d Play)

It seems like anyone who’s anyone is in the MCU these days, and Westerosi are no different.

With Game Of Thrones over, some very talented actors are going to be looking for work. Former GoT star Richard Madden was recently being in the Eternals, but now many of Robb Stark’s co-stars may be heading for the MCU too.

Some have already made the transition, with Natalie Dormer and Peter Dinklage having minor roles, but there’s plenty of Westerosi who could make it as leads. Dormer’s role was so minor that she may yet reappear as a more major figure, though she hasn’t been considered here.

Based on their respective portrayals in Game Of Thrones, their back catalogue of work so far and the biggest Marvel heroes yet to feature, Game Of Thrones and the MCU could make quite the dream team.

For what it’s worth, seeing as we know nothing about how, when or even if the X-Men will join the MCU, they’ve been left out here. It’s likely they’ll be recast and the whole franchise rebooted, but there’s a possibility that through multiverses or another retcon, this current version of X-Men could do a crossover.

With that in mind, Sophie Turner’s been left out as she may yet reprise Jean Grey.

10. Captain Britain - Joe Dempsie

There was a blink and you’ll miss it style Easter Egg for Captain Britain in Avengers: Endgame, so subtle that it may just have been a wink towards the wider comic universe rather than planting the seed.

It’s much more fun though to imagine this was foreshadowing another character’s arrival though, with Peggy Carter hinting that Captain Britain may appear.

Peggy mentions Braddock as Steve gazes longingly upon her in the ‘70s, a reference to Captain Britain’s real name. If this leads to his arrival, it’ll likely mean Peggy was talking about his father, who was also part of the Captain Britain Corps.

Richard Madden seemed like he was made for this role, but since he’s in the Eternals that possibility is now dead. Joe Dempsie though, who did a fantastic job at either end of Game Of Thrones as Gendry, could be a great replacement. While never a main character, he had great chemistry with Arya & Davos.

Dempsie is by far the smallest name here though, so he may have to settle for being one of the best British TV stars around. Honourable mention here goes to Dempsie’s fellow Skins star Hannah Murray (Gilly) too, who would make a great Squirrel Girl.
