8. Indi Should Have Fallen (Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade)
In a scene approaching the end of the film, Indi encounters a puzzle whereby he must step on stones which correspond to different letters of the alphabet to navigate a perilous looking room. He learns that the word he must spell is Jehovah, but in a bizarre twist he discovers that Jehovah begins with an I in the Latin alphabet, steps on a J and falls through the floor as the stone breaks. So close to his quest's end, Indi tumbles to his doom and dies, broken on a rock... Oh no, wait, he doesn't actually. How? Well, because Indi saves himself by hanging onto the stone directly in front of the one he stepped on, which is also an incorrect stone in the sequence. This stone should therefore have broken too, causing Indis premature death, which of course, it doesn't, again. Incidentally none of the stones appear big enough for a grown man to fall through anyway, not to mention that the I stone is surrounded by incorrect letters and therefore must be magically levitating to stay up.
