2. Hiding In Plain Sight - The Dark Knight Rises
Christopher and Jonathan Nolan are the premier sibling script-writing team in Hollywood, crafting acclaimed adaptations such as The Dark Knight while still penning original material like Inception and Interstellar. It's rare for anyone to consistently find success with new concepts in Hollywood these days, so the Nolan's success is exemplary in today's business. But that's not to say that the pair don't sometimes run into trouble piecing their plots together. The Dark Knight Rises divided fans, with an epic narrative that was unfortunately too bloated at times and suffered from a number of now infamous plot-holes. Did Commissioner Gordon really just send
every single cop into the sewers at the same time? But what if something goes wrong and... oh wait. The most dangerous city in America has now lost its entire police force in one fell swoop. That's not even the worst offence though. At the end of the film, both Batman and Bruce Wayne are presumed dead, so the masked vigilante takes the opportunity to give up the mantle and retire. Fair play. Being Batman looks like bloody hard work. The issue here is that Wayne and Selina Kyle opt to hide out the rest of their days in plain sight, living the high life in Florence. Faithful butler Alfred can't be the only person who would recognize the billionaire philanthropist, surely? He was on the cover of Time magazine for Christs sake! Apparently, that's kind of a big deal.
