4. The "Medieval" Movie
Tarantino's concept of blending modern day attitudes and pop culture with a past era worked like gangbusters in Inglourious Basterds and looks like it will pay off just as well in the upcoming Django Unchained. So, why not go back in time even farther to the Dark Ages? The time of the Crusades and the Inquisition are great fodder for Quentin's love of ridiculous violence and it'd be a wonderful addition to his Tarantinoverse mythology. It'd be great to see the ancient ancestors of characters like Vincent Vega or Aldo Raine. Plus, it'd be nice to see a medieval movie using contemporary music that isn't A Knight's Tale (I know I'm in the minority, but I'm just not a fan). With a renewed interest in medieval imagery (mostly thanks to HBO's Game of Thrones), the popular culture could use a swords-and-shields flick that wasn't afraid to be both self-depreciating and slightly tongue-in-cheek. Plus, I desperately want to see Samuel L. Jackson cleave some poor fool's head in twain with a broadsword.
