10 Giant Plot-Holes You Didn’t Notice In 2016’s Biggest Movies

6. Why Doesn't The Gunshot Make The Blind Man Deaf? - Don't Breathe

When the Blind Man (Stephen Lang) murders thief Money (Daniel Zovatto), the shot rings out mere inches away from his face, which calls into question the movie's own main conceit.

The protagonist being blind and all requires him to use his heightened sense of hearing to track the three young robbers, but with a shot going off right next to his ear, it's going to severely impact his ability to hear subtle noises, if not making him deaf outright.

Sure, the surprise horror hit is so perversely entertaining that it's easy to overlook this, but it's still a plot hole that undermines the entire premise of the movie.
