3. Fast & Furious
Woah, what's this ginormous franchise about, then? The
Fast and Furious franchise was, once upon a time, a series of movies about an increasingly unlikeable group of car lovers who spent their days racing cars and doing obnoxious things with their cars, like painting them luminous colours and crashing them into objects, like other cars and, uh, walls. Since then it has somehow transformed into a franchise less-focused on cars, but still totally about cars, but now there are guns and heists, too.
And it should quit? Why?Fast and Furious did something that almost no other movie series has ever done - it went from absolutely terrible to actually enjoyable, despite the fact that the series was already five movies in. Yes, it took five movies for this franchise to decide to do something worthwhile with itself, and it surprisingly worked. So whereas
Fast Five was one of the best action movies of 2011, the follow-up,
Fast Six, was good, but lacking. Another movie is on the way, but it'd probably be best to call it a day now, since we just got gifted with two solid entries in a row. And since the latest one ended with all the plot points nicely tied up and everyone happy, why force another?
