10 God-Awful Horror Films (With Amazing Kills)

6. Cocaine Bear

Look, nobody assumed Cocaine Bear would be high art. It's about a drug-snorting bear who goes on a killing spree. Also, it's literally called Cocaine Bear.

But because CGI is pretty expensive for a low-budget flick, our titular carnivore doesn't appear much. To compensate, this "true story" is filled with one-note characters and a myriad of sub-plots, which creates a lot of uneven pacing. Despite a surprisingly funny cast, none of our stars have a chance to show off their comedy chops. Although we anticipated the film to be stupid, we didn't think it would be boring.

If it wasn't for the terrifying (but hilarious) deaths, Cocaine Bear would be an utter waste. When Ranger Liz accidentally blows a guy's head off, you don't know whether to gasp in shock or burst out laughing. Watching Peter plonking onto the ground head-first has such impeccable comic timing, you'll forgive the unconvincing special effects.

Although Cocaine bear's tone is widely inconsistent, the horror and comedy are balanced perfectly during the ambulance sequence. This chase has the right range of terror, entertainment, and hilarity that the whole movie should've strived for.
