10 Good Actors Trapped Making Terrible Movies

2. Adam Sandler

Adam Sandler's appearance in last year's The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected) was his first starring critical success since Funny People way back in 2009.

Since then? He's starred in fourteen straight critical duds: two Grown Ups movies, Just Go with It, Jack and Jill, That's My Boy, two Hotel Transylvania movies, Blended, Men Women and Children, The Ridiculous 6, The Cobbler, Pixels, The Do-Over and Sandy Wexler.

The Meyerowitz Stories is clearly going to be a fluke, because he's got another straight-to-Netflix comedy (The Week Of) due out in April, and a third Hotel Transylvania film hitting screens later in the summer. He's also got another four-movie deal with Netflix, and honestly, what's the chance of even one of them cracking 60% on the Tomatometer?

Sandler knows what he's doing and is clearly making mad bank, but knowing how successful his brief forays into dramatic fare have been, he's throwing so much talent away in the tireless pursuit of cash. When is it enough, Adam? When?
