10 Good Actors Trapped Making Terrible Movies

3. Alicia Vikander

Things fell apart for Alicia Vikander pretty quickly after she won an Oscar in 2016, with all six of her subsequent movies receiving mixed-to-negative reviews: Jason Bourne, The Light Between Oceans, Euphoria, Tulip Fever, Tomb Raider and Submergence.

It's common for Oscar-winning actors to tackle paycheck-grabbing fare after they win the gold, but aside from Tomb Raider, most of these projects actually had a good deal of potential, yet have sadly fallen far short.

Vikander's young so she has plenty of time to bounce back, and appearing in Ben Wheatley's (Kill List, Free Fire) upcoming thriller Freak Shift is a damn good way to do it. She'll be fine, basically. This was (hopefully) just an unfortunate, oddly prolonged blip.
