3. Brad Pitt Gets His Brains Splattered - Burn After Reading
One of Brad Pitt's most memorable and unexpected roles to date came in the Coen Brothers' stellar dark comedy Burn After Reading. Pitt plays Chad Feldheimer, a douchey, dim-witted personal trainer who is asked by his co-conspirator Linda Litzke (Frances McDormand) to sneak into the house of Osbourne Cox (John Malkovich) and steal more sensitive information from his computer. However, Harry Pfarrer (George Clooney), who has since moved into the home with Cox's ex-wife, shows up unexpectedly, causing Chad to hide in an upstairs closet. While changing, Pfarrer opens the closet and is startled by Chad, who gives him the most hilarious, s***-eating grin. Pfarrer reacts instinctively (he's a U.S. Marshall) and opens fire, wiping the awkward smile off Chad's face as his brains are splattered over the back wall of the closet and he collapses to the floor in a heap. Satisfaction Rating: 8/10. In a way, you almost feel sorry for Chad: he clearly didn't know what he'd gotten himself into, and despite being an a**hole, he didn't really deserve to be killed. From the smile, you also assume he wasn't even remotely aware of the danger he was in, and probably never saw the gunshot coming. That said, the scene is thigh-slappingly hilarious, and the blood splatter itself is extremely satisfying.
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
