10 Great 2013 Movies You Should Regret Missing

5. Pain & Gain

1110b_zps0d254268 This one may be controversial but I personally feel it fits. It€™s no secret that Michael Bay is assaulting childhoods with his Transformers franchise and will continue to do so with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but let€™s take our fingers out of our ears and just give Pain & Gain some deserved credit. By no means is it a perfect movie but when you have a scene that freeze frames itself to remind itself that the insanity going on is a true story , then you have created something brilliantly ludicrous. It€™s almost amazing what Michael Bay can do when he sticks to lower budget films instead of framing every moment around his next never ending and repetitive overblown action sequence. There are great performances from Mark Wahlberg and others but it is Dwayne Johnson who walks the line between weak link and show stealer. You also get to find out what The Rock is cooking!
