Not one to be outdone with interesting premises British talent Peter Strickland has earned himself not just one entry on this list, but two. First up is the 2019 film, In Fabric. Throughout the history of horror, we’ve seen many places or objects that are haunted.

From haunted houses to demonically possessed dolls, or artefacts that house some restless spirit, if you’re a fan of the horror genre you’ve likely seen it before. But have you seen a film about a haunted dress? No. Well, then you need to see In Fabric.

Included on many best of lists in 2019, In Fabric has a bonkers premise on its surface but tackles it with a seriousness that could easily sink a film of a similar ilk. But there is something about the execution of In Fabric that just makes it work.

Don’t let the idea of a haunted dress tormenting whoever wears it deter you from searching out this mysterious British horror, imbued with dry sense of humour.
