10 Great Disney Movies You've Probably Never Heard Of

6. The Brave Little Toaster

Treasure Planet
Disney

This was a charming little film that was full of fun and peril. It had plenty of heart to it which helped to make it popular at the Sundance Film Festival. But it never managed to find a distributor to make it the huge success it could have been.

Disney aired it on the Disney Channel and released it on video/DVD, but thanks to its troubled distribution it never managed to garner too much attention. But there were at least sequels to the wholesome film, meaning that the property got to continue living.

The story follows a group of outdated electrical appliances who try to find their way back to their master after being abandoned in the woods. It is a powerful film that makes its audience fall quickly in love with its charismatic cast and fully want them to achieve their goals.

The movie is considered by many to be a prototype Pixar film, as many of the people involved ended up going on to form the company. It also bears many resemblances, such as personified inanimate objects and dark themes. Finally it contains the famous A113 code seen in all Pixar films.

This is a movie that Disney didn't care for, and that is a shame as it is delightful.
