10 Great Film Ideas Utterly Wasted On Terrible Actors

1. The Butterfly Effect - Ashton Kutcher

butterfly This film has a really cool, inventive concept. What if you could flash back to previous points in your life and change things? The smallest change could have drastic, unintended consequences, and you never know what you're going to wake up to. In a world full of sequels and remakes and adaptations, this was a unique, interesting idea. So the fact that they cast Ashton Kutcher in the lead role is really, really sad. He's a passable actor in the sitcom world, but on film his weaknesses are exposed and he comes off as incredibly one-note. Kutcher lacks the credibility to sell the sillier and less believable elements of the script. A wasted opportunity for a potentially awesome science fiction film. Any we missed?
