10 Great Films From 2015 You'll Never Watch Again (And Why)

Some films are just too good to watch twice.

2015 featured a stellar line-up of movies that had something for everyone; Inside Out, Mad Max: Fury Road, Ex Machina, Amy and Steve Jobs, among many, many others. It was a year of talented writers, directors and actors doing strong work, and people will be spoiled for choice when picking their favourite films of the year (sure, it was also a year that brought us Fifty Shades Of Grey, Mortdecai and Jupiter Ascending, but you can€™t win them all). Like every other year since time (well, cinema) began though, it also brought a range of good movies that will be forgotten about as time marches on. It doesn€™t matter if they€™re low-budget indies or shiny blockbusters; once they€™ve been experienced, nobody will feel the need to rush back to them again. There's a number of reasons for this, ranging from being them solid but forgettable fare to being so emotionally draining that one watch is all that people can handle. Selected here is a group of really good films that €“ for a whole variety of reasons €“ will be left to gather dust in the file marked 2015.

10. Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation

Tom Cruise is back doing what he does best €“ putting himself in mortal danger for other people€™s amusement. Rogue Nation offered superior summer entertainment with a twisty plotline, great stunts and inventive action scenes. The movie also introduced a great new female character into the franchise, and the opening airplane stunt with Cruise just might be one of the most insane things ever captured on camera. Why You€™ll Never Watch It Again: A major part of the fun of Rogue Nation is watching how scenes will pan out in unexpected ways, and once you know how they do it a large part of the charm is gone. The film is designed as a breathless ride where the audience doesn€™t have time to think much, and a second viewing would doubtlessly have them questioning the logic of certain things and ruining it for themselves.

Handsome. Charismatic. Intelligent. Noble. Witty. I'm none of these things, but I'm a half decent writer, I guess.
