10 Great Found-Footage Horror Movies You've Probably Never Seen

5. M.O.M. Mothers Of Monsters

To describe M.O.M. as dark would be an understatement.

When her son begins displaying some disturbing behaviour, a mother decides to document as many of his actions as possible in the hope of possibly preventing a tragedy.

The type of horror that hits the hardest is usually the type of horror that feels real, as if it could become a reality. M.O.M. doesn't just feel real, but its depictions and predictions have manifested into a reality too many times to count, giving it an authenticity more terrifying than any made up bogeyman.

Imagine if the Columbine shooters had a vlog channel - that's the sort of content that our protagonist, and by proxy us, are subjected to as she documents red flag after red flag. The movie never once strays away from just how disturbing the minds and behaviours of someone capable of committing such an atrocity are, creating an experience that, while all too real in the worst way, is something you will not be able to pull your eyes away from.
