10 Great Horror Movies That Need A Modern Reboot

2. It

Although Stephen King's It wasn't actually made as a movie, as many people think it was (it was actually a 1990 two-part television movie), it would be really cool to have a reboot of the production done in movie format and given a cinematic release. Pennywise - the evil clown villain from the story, who is actually an inter-dimensional predatory life-form, which has the ability to transform itself into its prey's worst fears, allowing it to exploit the phobias of its victims - has become every bit as iconic as the cinematic horror figures discussed in the last entry, with Tim Curry brilliant in the role. Clowns will forever be a source of fear for millions of people around the world and there would never be a bad time to reboot this into a movie - it's always going to do its job. It was popular when it first came out, it's still popular now and, given the brilliant source material written by Stephen King, it will probably be popular for a long time to come. If Krueger, Myers and Voorhees have received a modern makeover, Pennywise deserves on too - it's that simple.
