10 Great Horror Movies That Need A Modern Reboot

4. Pumpkinhead

Pumpkinhead is a titular horror character who is just below those true icons of the genre like Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers and Jason Voorhees - which still makes him pretty damn popular. His first movie, which had its cinematic release back in 1988, spawned three sequels - the most recent of which was in 2007 - all of which were either made for television or went straight to home video. Pumpkinhead is a demon who can be conjured by a witch called Haggis from a pumpkin patch graveyard where it is buried. It is generally summoned in the case of someone wanting to seek revenge for a terrible wrong such as murder. The titular demon looked superb, but it never really moved in a manner that made it believable. The original film was still great at the time, but a modern revamp that could bring the monster to life in a more realistic fashion would be just awesome.
