10 Great Horror Movies You Definitely Missed In 2022
6. Dark Glasses
Dark Glasses, a film about a woman who gets blinded by a serial killer, was distributed by a company called "Vision Distribution".
Funny? Inappropriate? Both? You decide.
Written and directed by Italian horror kingpin Dario Argento, Dark Glasses stars Ilenia Pastorelli as Diana, an escort left without her sight after fleeing from a murderer nicknamed The Cellist.
With the help of a young boy she befriends, Diana must evade a killer determined to finish the job whilst also attempting to take him down and save others from his wicked ways.
Argento has a pretty rabid fanbase. The guy's in his eighties, so he's had plenty of time to cultivate a strong following who will have probably already seen Dark Glasses 68 times already.
However, if you've never been exposed to his work before, then this might be a good place to start. It's a great example of a giallo, a type of Italian horror movie that Argento helped popularise in the 70s. Basically slashers before slashers were a thing.
If you're looking for a more modern take on a classic genre helmed by a classic name, then Dark Glasses is well worth a shot.
