10 Great Improvised MCU Moments

7. Peggy Carter Touches America's Chest - Captain America: The First Avenger

It's a real blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment, but Peggy Carter touching Captain America's chest in disbelief perfectly captures the magnitude of Steve Rogers' transformation into everyone's favourite super soldier.

Hayley Atwell has admitted in interviews that she wasn't meant to cop a feel of America's pecs, but it was her first time seeing Cap's post-transformation physique and her body moved on its own.

Which is perfectly understandable! Let's face it - if Chris Evans suddenly appeared before you in all his shirtless glory, you'd react exactly like Hayley Atwell does in the above clip. As such, watching her character touch Cap in awe before pulling herself together did a great job in showing the relatable side of the previously unflappable Peggy Carter, as well as hinting at the chemistry between her and Steve.

Hayley Atwell's wandering hands may not have been the most professional moment of her career, but her split-second lapse both humanised her character and encapsulated the sheer shock of seeing skinny Steve Rogers turn into America's greatest superhero.
