Sometimes finding out the truth can be worse than never knowing at all.

In Digging Up the Marrow, after being contacted by a strange man claiming to know the location of a secret society of monsters, a documentary crew begins to investigate. Have they been set on a wild goose chase? Or are his claims more fact than fiction?

Adam Green is known in the horror world for his cult classic modern slasher series Hatchet, in which he birthed one hell of a beast of a movie monster man known as Victor Crowley. Taking his clear love of monsters to the next level, Green uses this meta mockumentary as a way to celebrate everything great about creepy, crawly creatures.

By mixing reality with fiction, Green creates a spine-tingling experience that feels equal parts found footage horror flick and documentary. Obviously the events of the movie aren't real, but the way they're framed, combined with cameos from real life horror legends playing themselves, gives the film an air of realism.

If you are a die-hard lover of all things monster movies, Digging Up the Marrow is a must.
