7. Grawp - Harry Potter & The Order Of The Phoenix

For such a lavishly designed, incredibly expensive franchise, the Harry Potter series really struggled with effects work at times. The troll scene was a mess, there were some bad ragdoll moments and the centaurs were so awful they had to be mostly hidden in darkness. Worst of the lot, though, was Grawp.

Poor Grawp went through a lot in the Harry Potter books. He was rejected for being too small and bullied and then had to live in the Forbidden Forest in shackles when Hagrid "rescued" him. For the movie version to also have to contend with looking like a child's drawing of a giant was a step too far.

So bad was the little guy's look that he was then dropped out the films completely, which meant we didn't get to see him leading an army of hippogriffs and thestrals against the giants that once bullied him.
