5. Clu/Flynn - TRON Legacy

Let's be totally clear from the outset: the old Flynn in Tron Legacy - the one with Jeff Bridges' wise old face, silver streaked hair and beard and new sort of Zen poise - is great. Nothing wrong with him.

The problem comes with the other Flynn. The monstrous, Uncanny Valley creation who goes by the name of Clu 2 and who is Flynn's AI counterpart built to perfect the TRON system and who inevitably went rogue against Flynn.

The original Clu was great because Bridges was able to play him as he was - albeit with his iconic light suit on - but the belated sequel's problem came with the very real ravages of time on Bridges that made some deageing work necessary for him to play Clu 2. Unfortunately, deageing work wasn't ready yet and all we get is a younger version of Bridges who is smooth to a fault and whose ridiculous look undermined any of his supposed menace.
