10 Great Movies With Iconic Colour Palettes

10. 300 (2006)

Legendary PicturesLegendary PicturesZack Snyder's seminal work 300 was the breakout hit of 2006. The film was instrumental in paving the way for augmented reality design motion pictures, creating the opportunity for films like Sin City to really explore the medium in a comic book style. More recently, based on the success of Zack Snyder's 300 and Sin City, the comic revolution has returned in full swing after the crash of the nineteen nineties with a resurgence of comic book as an art style in lots of mediums. Telltale's The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us are prime examples of comic books bleeding over successfully into other mediums. 300 also pushed large celebrity names into truly household global stars. Gerard Butler and Lena Headey went onto huge roles, Gerard Butler delving into Hollywood romantic comedies and Lena Headey heading up the worst mother of all time brigade in Game Of Thrones. With Michael Fassbender and David Wenham as key members of an incredible supporting cast, 300 was bound to be a hit. Luckily its entirely unique art style and use of colour really helped push it into one of the most stylish classic action films available today.
