3. Dick Tracy (1990)
Touchstone PicturesThe very early cartoon champion of the flatfoot detective genre, Dick Tracy is a whirlwind of colour and eclectic hue to replicate that comic book style the best way the technology of 1990 could. With Al Pacino, Madonna, Dustin Hoffman and Warren Beatty heading up the cast and keeping that outlandish style going strong, Dick Tracy is a fantastic film to watch for a slice of cheesy rubbish danger and peril. As Warren Beatty was also the director as well as playing the title role, you can be easily forgiven for avoiding this one. When an auteur controls all angles of a project, more often than not it is a bad sign. This film however, is a fun romp if you take it exactly for what it is.
