Ridley Scott has directed some absolute classics in his time. With films like Blade Runner, Gladiator, and Alien under his belt, Scott is certainly a great filmmaker. As such, his 2015 thriller is no different. The Martian stars Matt Damon and takes place, you guessed it, on Mars.
During the film, Donald Glover (AKA Childish Gambino) turns up to try and help bring Damon back to Earth after getting stuck on Mars. Glover plays Rich Purnell, a nerdy scientist who plays an integral role in the film. While not the biggest character, Glover is unforgettable, much like the picture itself. The mega-famous rapper has had an incredible career ranging from acting, to writing, to directing, and obviously music.
With his comedy roles in sitcoms, to his serious roles in movies such as The Martian, Spider-Man: Homecoming and The Lion King, Glover is one to watch as his career will continue to soar for years to come.
