6. Alison Brie - The Lego Movie (2014)
The Lego Movie surprised millions in 2014 when it was released to critical acclaim. The big screen adaption of a child’s toy had people questioning its purpose, and more so its A-List cast. Among the likes of Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks and Morgan Freeman, Alison Brie makes an appearance in the animated feature as none other than Unikitty.
Brie took on the role of the overly excitable unicorn/kitten hybrid to join a stacked cast for what would become one of the most well received animated films of all-time.
While the concept of a movie about Lego certainly raised some eyebrows, it was more than justified by a tremendous story that would bring a tear to anyone’s eye, and top-notch humour throughout. Directing duo Lord & Miller were clearly the right choice to helm the mega-hit in 2014.
Brie, while not a main character, was an integral part of the team by the end of the journey and returned colourfully in the 2019 sequel, The Lego Movie 2.
