10 Great Movies Starring The Cast Of Community

7. Chevy Chase - National Lampoon’s Vacation (1983)

Happiest Season Alison Brie
Warner Bros.

Love him or hate him, Community alum Chevy Chase has quite the career behind him, and has been making people laugh for decades. This is especially true in the painful-to-watch comedy, National Lampoon’s Vacation.

Now a multi-film franchise, Vacation was an early feature in the National Lampoon film venture, and, like other comedies in their repertoire, it starred Chevy Chase.

The controversial actor plays Clark Griswold, a tired husband/father who just wants to take his family on Vacation. The family piles into a wagon and hilarity begins. The whole road trip outing is funny from start to finish, but the real scene stealer is Chase himself. From toe-curling relatable moments, to utter absurdity, Chase expertly takes the audience on an unforgettable journey they’re glad they never went on.

Vacation is loved by many, but also hated by many. Its absurd, crude, offensive comedy is certainly not to everyone’s taste, but much like the National Lampoon Magazine it’s a hit with those who like that humour.
