3. John Goodman - The Big Lebowksi (1998)
During Season 3 of Community, Troy Barnes joins the air conditioning school run by John Goodman. While not a main cast member of Community, Goodman was in a handful of episodes, and his career is full of memorable movies.
With a lot of great pictures under his belt, Goodman’s got quite the career to look back on, but nothing quite compares to the brilliantly bizarre 1998 film, The Big Lebowski.
The Big Lebowski follows The Dude, played by Jeff Bridges, on a weird and wonderful journey that starts and ends with a bowling alley. In said bowling alley, The Dude bowls with the unforgettable Walter (Goodman).
This Coen Brothers' offering is crazy, funny and is adored. It’s easily one of the most referenced movies of its time, and a career high for all involved, especially the directing duo Ethan and Joel Cohen who went on to direct the Oscar-winning western No Country For Old Men.
Monsters Inc. serves as an honourable mention here as Goodman lends his voice to the terrific James P. Sullivan in a heartwarming tale by Pixar.
