10 Great Movies You Probably Missed (That You Can Now Catch On Netflix)

6. The Peanuts Movie

Peanuts Movie Charlie Brown Snoopy
20th Century Fox

Based on the classic comic-strip, The Peanuts Movie is a delightfully zany animated romp which follows the exploits of Charlie Brown as he tries to win the affection of his classroom sweetheart, and lovable beagle Snoopy, who is trying to save Fifi from the villainous Red Baron and his army.

For us UK folk, The Peanuts Movie released smack bang in the middle of Star Wars: The Force Awakens week, and with the epic space opera soaking up so much movie-going time, a lot of people definitely missed this pleasant, very funny animated gem.

The movie has a great message about just being yourself which is excellent viewing material for impressionable young kids, and the hilarious antics of Snoopy liven up what can be, at times, a simple and bare-bones plot. Still, with an animation style that feels familiar, yet fresh, there's plenty to enjoy here, and the suite of relatable characters will keep you invested till the very end.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for over ten years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. In 2022, he took charge of WhoCulture and has grown it into the biggest Doctor Who channel on YouTube, and one of the biggest Doctor Who communities on the web full-stop. He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show. Like many his age, he first got into Doctor Who with the 2005 revival, but has since gone back and fallen in love with the classic years too. If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order, or to give you a random factoid about the making of Gridlock, Danny is the person to ask!
