The original Sleepaway Camp is the cream of the crop when it comes to cult-classic slasher flicks, but its decidedly less impressive sequels tend to be divisive amongst fans.

Do they fail on every level to be scary or even remotely suspenseful? Absolutely.

But are they also deliriously entertaining and chock full of quotable dialogue? You'd better believe it.

Personally, I love both of these films for their self-aware silliness and bevy of brutal death scenes, but more often than not, they're seen as a prime example of everything that's wrong with the slasher genre. Sure, they're cheaply made and have the depth of a thimble but the central performances by Pamela 'Sister of Bruce' Springsteen really raise them above their peers.

Springsteen didn't do a whole lot of acting in her time, but her back-to-back turns as the rule-abiding psychopath Angela Baker will forever be her finest work. She delivers her corny one-liners with self-assured aplomb, infusing each bloody murder with a sense of infectious glee that you can't help but get swept up in. The sense of vulnerability and child-like naivety Pamela brought to the role really helped define Angela as one of the genre's most underappreciated villains.
