10 Great Stan Lee Cameos Not In Marvel Movies
8. Nikita
Teen-friendly US network The CW is maybe best known these days for its adaptations of DC comics with the Arrowverse and Archie comics with Riverdale. Back in 2010, though, it still found time to feature the face of Marvel in an early episode of their reboot of Nikita, the 1990 Luc Besson female assassin movie previously adapted for TV as the 90s series La Femme Nikita.
The show's fifth episode opens on a bank robbery in Montreal. Fortunately for the media there was a witness, a local bystander with the spectacular name of Hank Excelsior, who tells reporters that the robber "moved so fast, it was like he was a superhero or something."
It's a fairly standard Lee cameo to be honest, the briefest of onscreen appearances delivering a single line in-joke about superheroes. It does, however, deserve praise for the entertaining incorporation of Lee's catchphrase.
