10 Great Teen Horror Movies (No One Ever Talks About)

4. The Babysitter

Cherry Falls
Netflix

Released in 2017, The Babysitter received muted response from reviewers, who presumably had their pulses and senses of humour surgically removed prior to screening this Netflix horror comedy.

At least, that's the only imaginable explanation for how this one didn't win them over.

With a stellar cast of comedic performers from The Duff's Robbie Amell to Hell Baby's Leslie Bibb to Wet Hot American Summer's Ken Marino, this simple, gruesome and fast paced story of a young teen who discovers his babysitter and not-so-secret crush is a satanic monster is a blast from start to finish.

This McG comeback introduced audiences to Ready or Not’s Samara Weaving as its eponymous villain, but even without her winning presence the film is a cute, gory, funny coming-of-age horror comedy.

Sure, that genre description may have been too tonally inconsistent for some viewers, but if you're willing to roll with the punches, this silly and strange film is a delight.
