10 Greatest "I'm Dead And I Know It" Moments From Stargate

9. Sokar - The Devil You Know

Sokar was unique among the Gou'uld for his choice to model himself after the Christian Devil. His symbol was similar to the pentagram that is often misattributed to Satanism, though is in fact highly recognizable. Therefore, when SG-1 had to travel to Netu to rescue Selmak/Jacob Carter, they were less than thrilled to discover they were effectively trying to rob the Devil.

They hatched a plan to destroy the moon, which would serve the dual purpose of destroying Sokar's fleet. There was a slight complication in the form of Apophis, who had survived their last attempt to kill him, and was now serving under the alias of Na'onak. Apophis tricked his way aboard Sokar's ship, though he was taken prisoner and tortured. At the same time, the bomb was beamed into Netu's core.

As he usually did, Apophis escaped the resulting explosion. As the full devastation of the exploding moon rocketed toward Sokar's ship, he looked as enraged as any Gou'uld had ever been, finally conquered after thousands of years of death, destruction, and shrouding himself in the worst imagery imaginable.
