The first in the Star Wars anthology series, Rogue One tells the story of the events directly leading up to 1977's A New Hope.
The movie follows Jyn Erso and a small band of rebels as they steal the Death Star plans and the details of its weakness. It gives us a new perspective on the familiar story, following a group of non-force users as they strive to do the right thing.
Rogue One's twists and turns eventually lead the rebels to Scarif, an oceanic "paradise world" where the Empire had begun construction of the Death Star.
While Jyn attempts to steal the plans, the other Rebels attack the base by way of a diversion.
