10 Greatest Captain America Moments In The MCU
5. I Can Do This All Day - Civil War
For as action packed a movie as it is, some people don't take into account how dark the ending of Captain America: Civil War really is. Though the death count of heroes is generally low, the fractured relationships between Cap and Iron Man leaves the team completely broken up...like the Beatles. There weren't going to be any winners in this fight, but it was nice to see Cap try to go out swinging.
After finding out that Bucky was responsible for his parents' deaths, Tony snaps and proceeds to fight both Rogers and Barnes hand to hand. Though Stark's Iron Man is trained for almost any combat, Steve holds his own and beats him to a pulp. Stark does end up gaining traction during the fight, but as he is pushed to the ground, Cap gets up and remarks under his breath, "I can do this day," echoing the same sentiment he gave to the bully that picked on him in the First Avenger.
From then on, the fight is much more gritty, as Cap destroys Tony's suit, and very nearly killing Tony before abandoning his shield and leaving with Bucky. This movie wasn't necessarily the end for Cap in the MCU, but considering his tragic exit from his final battle, it's clearly the end of an era now.
