10 Greatest Easter-Themed Horror Movies
6. The Passion Of The Christ
You might think that Hollywood anti-Semite Mel Gibson’s The
Passion of the Christ is an epic biblical drama and not a horror movie, but we
beg to differ.
Think about it. There’s slithering snakes and freaky, pointy-toothed demon children and a distinctly Nosferatu-like Satan stalking Jesus throughout the film. Then there’s the creepy music, decaying donkey corpse and the fact it features more gore than you can shake a stick at.
If there’s one thing The Passion of the Christ boasts more in abundance than gore, it’s racism by the bucket-load and everybody knows how traditionally racist horror movies are.
Put simply, it’s Eastertime-set bible-based torture porn with splatter film sensibilities. Now try telling us it isn’t a horror film.
