10 Greatest Ever James Bond Stunts

3. The World Is Not Enough (1999) - Skiing on the Thames

Let's be honest, The World Is Not Enough kind of... well, sucks. We're not sure if it's the convoluted plot, the tired expressions in everyone's eyes or Denise Richards playing of all things a nuclear scientist. Fortunately there's a few bright spots in the film - Sophie Marceau is a pretty cool villain and the opening sequence (the longest pre-title sequence in a Bond film) has one of the coolest chases ever captured on screen when Bond chases a leather-clad assassin down the Thames in a speedboat. A brilliantly executed stunt that immediately captured the attention of the British public and which itself is a bit of a tribute to London as a city (we see the then-Millenium Dome, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben...) and which set up a film that sadly didn't live up to the promises it made. Lucky then that this sequence stands out as the brightest point in the film.
