10 Greatest Ever James Bond Stunts

4. The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) - The Ski Leap

An iconic moment in Bond's history and one that resembles simply the best of the 1970s model of stunt performing, The Spy Who Loved Me continued the tradition of simply stunning pre-title sequences as Bond leaves a lover of his on a snowy chalet and starts to flee/ski away. The girl reveals herself to be an enemy spy, giving Bond away and allowing him to pursued by baddies in a thrilling ski chase. Aside from the chase itself being a hell of a thrill ride, it culminates a big finale - Bond sails off the edge of the cliff, seemingly to his doom when a hidden parachute explodes outwards and the iconic Union Jack chute explodes onto the screen. It's an utterly ingenious, patriotic moment that everyone can recall and enjoy. Nobody does it better, after all it seems.
