9. The Last Horror Movie (2003)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hliYz_JSPE The idea of a Snuff film is one of the creepiest concepts imagined; the idea of a man killing people not only for fun, but to show his "works" to other people definitely qualifies as being disturbing. And here's where this independent film from Julian Richards comes in. The Last Horror Movie indeed; I seriously don't know how many people claim to know a lot about the horror genre and say that they've seen the best serial killer films when they've never even heard about this jewel of a film. And one of the things that makes this film so unique and incredible is the really original plot of it. Basically, you're watching a video of a man who hunts down those who are unfortunate enough to rent a snuff film from a video store, if they watch it they'll become part of it. The concept of the movie works very well, since it pretty much involves you in the plot. How can you know if you're not going to be another part of the movie? But not only that, the way the movie is slow, as well as the good special effects and the incredible violence makes this movie much more interesting and definitely much more effective than usual horror movies.
