7. V/H/S (2012)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LfLDeXLmAw At this point it appears as if Found Footage films were created with the horror genre in mind, and it's quite easy to understand why. For once it puts the audience in the place of the protagonist, and the overall environment feels more realistic that way, no matter hat the outcome will be. And the best example for this is the 2012 film V/H/S. I have little things to say about this movie, we all know how cool this film is, and while it isn't the scariest film I've ever seen it is definitely one of the creepiest ones. The plot, as well as the great performances and atmosphere make this movie stand out over many other films that came out at the same time. Consider V/H/S as the found-footage, creepier version of George A. Romero's Creepshow. A bunch of guys go to a house in order to retrieve a V/H/S tape that someone paid them to obtain, however they end up discovering something more terrifying that what thy thought they would find. It's also really fun to watch, whether or not you find the movie scary or creepy you will have a good time watching this movie. And that's something really hard to accomplish especially in a horror movie, since those always fall into the "you love it or hate it" category. So if you wan't to get scared or just have a good time I can't recommend this film any further.
