10 Greatest James Bond Villain Lairs

9. Stealth Ship - Tomorrow Never Dies

The Stealth Ship was one of the most effective and efficient military bases in the whole of the James Bond franchise. Used by Elliot Carver in an attempt to force the United Kingdom and China into a war, it was the ultimate lair in terms of secrecy thanks to its state of the art design and technology. Constructed using stolen top-of-the-range Chine military materials, the Stealth Ship was practically invisible to all radar detection, due mainly to its cleverly designed shape and cloaking devices. You could only see it with the naked eye at very close range allowing it to travel throughout the ocean as if invisible. However, the craft was far more dangerous because of its huge arsenal of weaponry. The Stealth Ship was easily one of the most powerful lairs ever used by a Bond villain €“ it could launch cruise and surface-to-air missiles as well as employing a huge sea drill for up close combat; meaning it could take on warships and fighter jets in equal measure. Its menacing black colour and strange shape make it instantly have an impact on everyone who saw it, easily putting it in any list of best lairs from the franchise.
