10 Greatest James Bond Villain Lairs

5. Auric Stud Recreation Room - Goldfinger

Goldfinger had at his disposal a number of excellent location, a private golf club, a car crushing facility to dispose of less=than-desirable people, and the infamous laser room that almost put an end to 007. Yet, none of them can compare in terms of style or usefulness to the Auric Stud Recreation Room. Tucked away from the aircraft runway, stables and prison cells, this room played host to all of Goldfinger€™s guests who were part of Operation Grand Slam. Containing everything a luxurious recreation room should, with outstanding looks €“ a pool able, huge fireplace and traditional furniture and finish really did make it seem like the perfect place to enjoy some off-time. However, the room had another more devious function; it could also double as a formidable satiation room. With the flick of a few switched Goldfinger could have at his disposal a number of detailed maps and schematics, models of important locations and a fully functional command console. It was the perfect room for devising any evil plan. Like all good lairs, the recreation room also provided the perfect way to get rid of unwanted guests, as the room could be easily sealed and filled with deadly gas at a moment's notice.
