With the end of Phase Three came the end of an era in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The new dawn that was Phase Four opened the door to new characters previously unseen on MCU screens, including the likes of Shang-Chi, the Eternals, Ms. Marvel, and She-Hulk.

Another name on this particular list is Moon Knight. Often seen as something of Marvel's answer to Batman, the character has gained a loyal following over the years, though his MCU debut unfortunately came at a time when the franchise is at one of its lowest lows ever. The Moon Knight series wasn't terrible, but coming at the height of superhero fatigue, it certainly struggled.

As with many Marvel characters, there was potential for Moon Knight to come to screens far earlier than he did, in this case coming from legendary comic book writer Grant Morrison. The mind behind the likes of All-Star Superman pitched a Moon Knight movie, as well as a Doctor Strange movie before Kevin Feige was even involved at all.

Both ideas were ultimately shot down, according to Morrison largely because of how comic book writers were viewed back then. Should the writer feel the need to revisit pitching Marvel movies, then chances are they would be given a lot more respect, as has been earned over the years, and the chance to produce something.
