10 Greatest MCU End Credits Scenes

9. Incredible Hulk

After coming out of watching Iron Man, a lot of superhero fans had some mixed feelings. Just what the hell was the last scene, with Tony talking to Nick Fury about some possible team-up later down the line? Even if stuff like that sounded like a pipe dream at the time, the final scene from Hulk confirmed that there was something to this 'Avengers Initiative'.

On its own, the Incredible Hulk is one of the more forgettable entries in the MCU, which isn't helped by the fact that Edward Norton has been replaced by Mark Ruffalo for the past eight years. However, the generic action comes to a halt in the last few frames, as we see Thunderbolt Ross sitting at a bar, weather-beaten from trying to control Bruce Banner. As opposed to just another Easter egg, wee see Tony Stark come into frame, joking that the general has a world class problem on his hands.

Though the actual dialogue can come off as a bit cheeky at times, the shift when Robert Downey Jr. says that they might be putting a team together made a chill run up every superhero fan's spine, confirming the suspicions that were only hinted at in the first movie.

With this scene now under its belt, it was time for the MCU to officially get underway.
